The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, led by the Deputy Chairman of the agency, participated in the conference of the heads of the customs services of the European region of the World Customs Organization.

The conference was held at the organization's headquarters in Brussels with the participation of representatives of the customs services from 53 member states of the European region. Ian Saunders, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, was also present at the event.

The delegates discussed issues of modernizing the organization and strengthening customs cooperation at the European regional level, as well as stimulating e-commerce. Reports of the organization's Finance and Control Committees, as well as its budget for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, were also presented to the participants.

During the visit of the delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan to Brussels, an agreement was reached on the Turkmen Customs Service's Training Center acquiring the status of a Regional Training Center of the organization.
