President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to hold festive celebrations in honour of Victory Day on the 9^th of May at a high organizational level.

The head of state gave the corresponding instructions at a meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan to the secretary of the country's Security Council, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyyev.

According to the official statement, «The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country gave instructions to ensure a high organizational level of the celebrations scheduled for the 9^th of May in the capital and velayats on the occasion of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945».

Earlier, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, at a government meeting via video link, instructed to present cash and valuable gifts to veterans of the Great Patriotic War on Victory Day on the 9^th of May.
