«Ashgabat» defeated «Shagadam» in the opening match of the 13th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship among major league clubs. The meeting, held at the capital's «Nisa» stadium, ended with a score of 1:0 in favour of the hosts.

The winning goal was scored by Shatlyk Gurbanov in the 39th minute of the game.

In this way, «Ashgabat» took revenge from «Shagadam» for losing with the same score in the first round.

After this victory, Seyit Seyidov's team rose to fifth place in the standings with 16 points. «Shagadam» dropped to sixth place with 15 points.

In the next round, «Ashgabat» will play away against «Arkadag», and «Shagadam» will host the capital «Kopetdag».

The 13th round will end with the matches: «Kopetdag» - «Merv», «Ahal» - «Arkadag» and «Nebitchi» - «Altyn Asyr».
