The Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is doing a lot of work to strengthen the scientific foundations of the country's chemical industry, to introduce innovative developments into production for the complex processing of mineral, hydromineral and hydrocarbon raw materials. Cooperating on economic contractual terms with the State Concerns «Turkmenhimiya», «Turkmengas», «Turkmenneft», the State Corporation «Turkmengeology», various ministries and departments, as well as with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country, scientists and specialists of the Institute have accumulated solid experience in the commercialization of their innovative developments.

Recently, scientists and specialists from the laboratory «Chemistry and Technology of Oil and Gas» under the leadership of Doctor of Chemical Sciences Myratdurdy Keymirov, in collaboration with specialists from the Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries, introduced into production the technology for the production of «Hydro Plus» diesel fuel with improved characteristics and hydrotreating. The fuel produced by the method proposed by scientists meets the requirements of the state quality standard for such a product in terms of composition and quality characteristics.

When producing diesel fuel using a technology developed by scientists in collaboration with manufacturers, product yield increases by 15 percent and its quality improves. The product has been improved for use in all seasons, and this fuel extends the life of the internal combustion engines of the equipment in which it is used.
