A student of the Specialized Secondary School № 24 with in-depth study of foreign languages in the city of Dashoguz, Leyla Zafarova, took second place in the IV International Competition of Verbal Creativity «Word Factory-2024».
The geography of the competition covered 37 countries - from Australia and Greece to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. 510 fairy tales and stories were submitted to the jury for consideration. The jury selected 32 works that won prizes in various nominations and age categories.
A representative of Dashoguz velayat was among the winners.
The young authors were faced with a creative task - to write a fairy tale or story in Russian, using certain words. This year it is «Masha» and «tree». Further, everything depended on the writing abilities of the participants, their imagination and, of course, language proficiency.
The winner of the velayat Olympiad in Russian language, a regular participant in various literary competitions, Leyla Zafarova, without thinking twice, wrote a good fairy tale about a girl and a magic tree that fulfills any desires. However, every dream that came true led to the fact that the cherished leaves fell away. And the girl tried to do everything possible so that the tree continued to grow.
«I like to write poems and different stories», says Leyla. – In my fairy tale, I wanted to convey to people the idea that kindness and understanding are very important in our lives. Sometimes one right action can make a big difference.
Leyla Zafarova’s work was awarded in the «Best Fairy Tale» category. Soon, the winners of the competition will receive by mail memorable gifts, diplomas, as well as a collection of fairy tales and short stories, which includes texts from the winners.
