International University of Humanities and Development (IUHD) continues to accept applications for participation in the competition "Model United Nations", held on the topic "UN: international peace and trust" among higher education students educational institutions of Turkmenistan.

The competition was organized on the occasion of a significant event  unanimous adoption by the UN General Assembly at the 63rd plenary session of the 78th session of the Resolution “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”, initiated by Turkmenistan.

The competition will be held in English in full-time format in IUHD May 28. On the agenda of the simulated meeting UN, where students will act as delegates, will be taken out questions on the topics of the Sustainable Development Goals and Energy security. 

On the eve of the competition, on May 27, the organizing university will hold students preliminary training related to the rules and procedure for conducting the Model UN competition, as well as its content and tasks of the participants.

The winners of the competition will be determined by voting themselves participants and will be announced in three categories: “Best Speaker", "Best Speaker" and "Audience Choice".

The competition is aimed at increasing interest and motivating young people to study activities in more depth UN, international initiatives, positions and foreign policy strategy of our country, as well as the development of thinking skills and colloquial speech of students in English - one of the official languages of the UN and identifying the most talented and capable students.
