A group of scientists from the Natural Gas Research Institute of the state concern «Türkmengaz» and the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, under the leadership of Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Technical Sciences Rahmanguly Esedullayev, successfully introduced into production an innovative technology that increases the productivity of depleted gas wells.
On the basis of an agreement concluded with the Department of «Döwletabatgazçykaryş» of the State Corporation «Türkmengaz», a number of research and experimental works were carried out to introduce modern innovative technologies to increase the productivity of low-yield and completely depleted wells of the Gurrukbil gas condensate field.
After studying the production characteristics of the Gurrukbil field and analyzing the results of hydrodynamic and geophysical studies of its depleted wells, scientific and technical solutions were developed and pilot work was carried out to introduce the technology of complex hydrogen thermobarochemical stimulation of the gas-bearing formation in well №. 45. According to preliminary gas-hydrodynamic tests, production natural gas from the well has increased compared to the previous volume. A positive result was also obtained at the completely depleted gas well №. 46, where stage-by-stage massive hydrogen thermobarochemical treatment of the formation was used.
The use of integrated technology of hydrogen thermobarochemical stimulation of the formation increases its permeability and production of oil, gas and condensate, allowing more efficient use of available resources and reducing capital investments aimed at constructing production facilities. Currently, scientists continue to monitor the productivity of experimental wells at the Gurrukbil gas condensate field, recording an increase in well production with each measurement. The successful experience of introducing innovative technology is planned to be scaled up and applied to increase the productivity of other wells in this field.
