The Balkan stage of the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League kicked off with the matches of the 5th round at the sports complex of the National Tourist Zone 'Avaza.'
As previously reported, the battle for the title of Turkmenistan champion involves six futsal clubs from Ashgabat, Balkan and Dashoguz velayats.
The leader of the national championship 'Senagatbank' faced the reigning vice-champion of Turkmenistan 'Kopetdag' in the central match of the 5th round.
Mergen Atayev's team, who had previously secured four victories in four matches, determined to compete. Rahatmyrat Nepesov scored a double in the 11th and 17th minutes, leading 'Senagatbank' 2-0 at halftime. In the 26th minute, Nepesgeldi Atayev extended the leader's advantage to three goals. In the 31st minute, Mulkaman Annagulyev reduced the deficit, but 'Kopetdag' could not avoid defeat.
Securing their fifth consecutive victory with a 3-1 score, 'Senagatbank' finished the first round of the Turkmenistan Super League in first place with 15 points. The reigning four-time Turkmenistan champion 'Denizchi,' trailing the leader by 3 points, defeated TCOR 2-1 in a tough battle in the 5th round.
The first half brought no success for either side. In the second half, TCOR's futsal players responded to two goals by Abdulla Nursakhadov (22nd minute) and Kadyr Berenov (29th) with only one precise strike by Charyyar Gurbanniyazov in the penultimate minute of the game.
In another match of the 5th round, 'Migration' convincingly defeated Dashoguz's 'Turan' 6-1. The winners scored doubles by Tachmamet Dynnyev (6th and 18th minutes) and Ismailmukhammet Ovekov (14th and 25th), with Balkan Durdyev (12th) and Ezizmammet Begmammedov (37th) scoring once each. The losing side's prestige goal was scored by Nurmyrat Bayramdurdyev (28th).
Following this victory, 'Migration' accumulated 6 points and closely approached 'Kopetdag,' which sits in third place with 7 points.
In the upcoming 6th round of the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League 2024, 'Turan' will face 'Denizchi,' TCOR will play against 'Kopetdag,' and 'Senagatbank' will meet 'Migration.'
