An international competition starts in Ashgabat on May 22 "International Relations: Culture of Peaceful Dialogue" with participation of students from higher educational institutions of Central Asia, the Caspian states, Turkey and China. Contest organized jointly by the Ministry of Education Turkmenistan and the Institute of International Relations Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
As reported by the organizing committee, in the international competition 250 students from Turkmenistan and participating countries will perform. The competition will bring together participants from 20 Turkmen and 11 foreign universities in 9 countries.
Representatives of such prestigious higher schools like Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, ADA University Azerbaijan, Institute of Political and International research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov of Kazakhstan, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan named after K. Dikambaev, Tajik National University, Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University, Mashhad Ferdowsi University, Istanbul Cerrahpasa University, China University international relations, World University economy and diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
The organizers are looking forward to the arrival of foreign guests, which will begin arriving in the Turkmen capital tomorrow. Active preparations are underway to ensure the organization is at a high level of reception of participants, opening and holding of the event.
The competition will be held in the form of individual and team competitions. At the first stage, testing will be carried out, consisting of questions on regional and international topics relations, their political-diplomatic, trade-economic, historical, cultural and other relevant regions.
In the individual tour, participants will be given tasks to such areas as modeling international negotiations, use of information technology in studying international economic relations, studying global trends in international transport logistics, use of mathematics and mathematical modeling in making optimal decisions in international relations and other.
In the team stage, the competitors will have to cope with assignments on the application of mathematical methods in international relations, mathematical modeling, econometrics, logistics and other areas.
There will also be a thematic brain-ring for students, the results of which the jury will mark active participants, the best discussions, teams, and those nominated during the game constructive ideas and suggestions. The main goal of the brain assault" - to present optimal methods of dialogue and cooperation between international actors and their types in as a result of the analysis of current issues of international and regional agenda.
The winners of the international competition will be awarded medals and diplomas, as well as certificates of honor and gifts.
As is known, at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session was unanimously adopted by the UN General Assembly Resolution initiated by Turkmenistan “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust", which is based on laid down the goals of disseminating the principles of peacefulness, culture peaceful dialogue, strengthening trust between states.
In this regard, the upcoming competition is of high importance in achieving positive results in development international dialogue and youth cooperation, promoting cultural diplomacy.
Among the objectives of the competition is to identify talented and capable students, expanding interaction between universities in the field of science, education, training of young specialists, establishment friendly relations between teachers and students from different countries.
