Steady increase of the standards and quality of life of Turkmen nationals, systematic modernisation of infrastructure of all branches of national economy according to requirements of the time and intensification of constructive international cooperation for achievement of universal creative purposes make up key goals of large scale social and economic programs realised in our fatherland in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
On May 20, the head of the state held an online working meeting in which the course of seasonal field campaigns in the country was considered.
Having underlined necessity of a complex approach to solution of goals to gather a high yield of agricultural crops with a view of strengthening of food abundance in the country, the President of Turkmenistan instructed relevant authorities to provide a co-ordinated work of all structures involved in the harvest as well as due care of cotton according to agro-technical standards.
At the same time, he gave heads of administration of regions concrete instructions on observance of quality and terms of construction of different projects to be commissioned into operation this year according to programs of social and economic development of our fatherland.
On May 22, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the solemn opening ceremony of a new water-purifying facility «Bagtyýarlyk» with a daily capacity of 150 thousand cubic metres of water.
This important project was erected in Bagtyyarlyk etrap of the capital to the order of khyakimlik of Ashgabat by economic society «Dost gurluşyk, söwda, önümçilik» which is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The clean water from construction tanks will be supplied to townsmen by two channels. As a water source an open reservoir with a capacity of 1 million cubic metres located on the right bank of the Garagum-river serves.
The advanced equipment established at the enterprise from leading world manufacturers will ensure optimum technological processes and smooth supply of citizens of Ashgabat with pure drinking water. The new complex consists of several objects and storage plant where appropriate conditions for work and rest of about 150 workers are provided.
Conformity of the technologies applied at this large water-purifying facility to the international standards was confirmed by certificates from company «PSE Engineering GMBH» (Federal Republic of Germany) and Istanbul Technical University.
On the margins of the opening ceremony, the head of the state handed the head of capital administration keys to new passenger buses and the head of association «Aşgabatagyzsuw» - keys to new cars and special equipment, intended for development of the sector.
On May 22, the President of Turkmenistan received Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev who arrived in our country for participation in the regular meeting of the Council of heads of CIS governments.
The guest expressed his sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for active support in issues of development of constructive cooperation within CIS and underlined an active position and initiative approach of Turkmenistan to strengthening of economic and humanitarian links within the Commonwealth.
They mentioned economy and trade, energy, transport, communication and telecommunications, interaction in scientific-educational, cultural and sports spheres and solution of issues of preservation of the environment, including development of "green" technologies among the basic areas of joint activity.
The same day, Secretary General of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergey Lebedev met National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Hero-Arkadag wished success to the meeting of the Council of heads of CIS governments and noted that Turkmenistan intends to strengthen comprehensively henceforth friendship, promoting development of effective multilateral cooperation aimed at achievement of concrete results.
On May 24, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held meetings with heads of delegations which arrived in Ashgabat for participation in the meeting of the Council of heads of CIS governments - Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Michael Mishustin, Chairman of the Cabinet of the Kirghiz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Oljas Bektenov, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov.
They discussed basic aspects of further mutually beneficial partnership during meetings.
At the meeting of heads of the governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Ashgabat according to the agenda, exchange of opinions on topical issues of economic cooperation in the format of the CIS took place and they also considered prospects of productive interaction in energy and transport spheres.
Following the results of the meeting, a number of important documents aimed at further development of mutually beneficial partnership within the CIS were signed. Among them - decision on the announcement of Ashgabat city as city of new sports possibilities of the Commonwealth.
On May 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers at which priority issues of state life were considered.
Its agenda included perfection of national legal basis, international activity of the parliament, and expansion of partnership with leading world-rating agencies, development of the project of the Conceptual basis of state policy in the sphere of space activity.
Besides it, measures taken to integrate the national education sphere into world educational space, modernisation of operating oil refining projects and construction of new ones, perfection of system of pricing in the building sector and course of seasonal agricultural campaigns, were informed.
The information on organisation of celebrations on the occasion of holidays and significant dates of the national calendar as well as the opening of different projects, preparation of mass cultural, physical and sports and health improving actions planned for the near future sounded.
Among them - International Day of Protection of Children, World Bicycle Day, World Environment Day, Day of Science, Day of workers of culture and art and poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, Gurban bayramy.
Within the expansion of a spectrum of interaction with foreign countries preparation for the next 12th joint meeting of the Turkmen-Austrian commission goes on.
Along with it, measures on further development of relations of Turkmenistan with the states of the Asian-Pacific region, in particular, with the People’s Republic of China, Japan and Malaysia are taken. With a view of practical realisation of the initiative on creation of the format «Central Asia+ASEAN» put forward by our country it is proposed to hold a corresponding international meeting or a forum in the second half of the year in Turkmenistan.
At the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution «On approval of the Concept of perfection of methodology of education by general educational programs in Turkmenistan till 2028».
Prospects of development of traditional cooperation built on principles of mutual benefit and equal partnership were discussed during the telephone conversation, which took place on May 20 between National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov.
On May 21, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat and presented his condolences in connection with tragic accident of the helicopter, in which outstanding political and state figure, President of Iran Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi perished.
Hajy Arkadag in conversation with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, on his own behalf and all Turkmen people conveyed words of sincere sympathy and support during this difficult moment to the family of victims and made record in the Book of condolences.
Past week, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero - Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the day of mourning.
Hero-Arkadag arrived in the conference centre "Ejlase-Saran". There Hajy Arkadag met the Head of the Office of the President of Islamic Republic of Iran Gholam-Hossein Ismaili. Hero-Arkadag on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and Turkmen people as well as on his own behalf presented condolences to the leadership of the state and the people of Iran.
Then, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the mourning ceremony organised there prayed for the peace of soul of deceased President Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi in paradise.

Past week, the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charity Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship under solemn conditions transferred to the capital scientific-clinical centre of protection of health of mother and the child two modern devices for haemodialysis Dialog + from famous German manufacturer of medical equipment, company «B. Braun».
The Foundation created in March, 2021 at the initiative of Hero-Arkadag, conducts a great deal of work to protect the health of the rising generation, rendering all-round aid to profile establishments.
The funds received with the bank accounts of the Charity Foundation from citizens and legal bodies, are directed to various operations on children needing guardianship in medical institutions of the capital and regions as well as payment of expenses on treatment and acquisition of proper medical means for young Turkmen nationals who are brought up and trained at specialised schools, boarding schools and others.
In the conference hall of the Centre of public organisations, presentation of the book «Magtymguly», in which selected verses of the great poet reflecting his philosophical views of such themes as spirituality, ethics, science and education, morals, education of children, respect for seniors, mercy, humanism, friendship and brotherhood, courage, heroism, patriotism, statehood, beauty of Turkmen nature entered, took place.
The collection prepared by the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of the country, was published as separate books in Turkmen, Russian and English languages and is colourfully illustrated by reproductions of wonderful pictures from the Fund of the State Academy of Arts.
Achievements and prospects in the sphere of town-planning, architecture and formation of city infrastructure in modern Turkmenistan as well as priority areas of international cooperation in this sphere were widely presented at the XXIII International universal exhibition held in the capital «White city of Ashgabat». Representatives of foreign business circles from over 160 local and foreign companies, enterprises of branch ministries and departments of Turkmenistan took part in the exhibition.
On May 25, celebrations on the occasion of City Day of Ashgabat and ceremonies of the "Last bell» took place.
On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag memorable gifts were given to young boys and girls as well as workers of education sphere who distinguished during academic years in sports, creative competitions and subject Olympiads.
In honour of graduates of high schools and City Day of Ashgabat in all velayats various musical-song and cultural events were held. For the first time celebrations took place in the city of Arkadag.
The festive events prepared by art workers were developed that day in the Choganly residential area on the occasion of the opening of 136 two-storeyed houses. So large scale house warming was a visible result of town planning programs successfully implemented in the capital, the major component of which is maintenance of townspeople with modern and accessible housing.
Last Sunday of May in our country, the holiday of Turkmen carpet is traditionally celebrated. The exhibition of carpets and carpet products as well as XXIV meeting of the World Association of Connoisseurs of Turkmen carpet were timed to this date.
According to the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the best workers of branch for their big merits in development of national art of carpet making, honest work and professionalism the honorary title «Türkmenistanyň at gazanan halyçysy» were conferred.
Thus, events of the past week showed success transformations entirely focused on dynamical progress in all sectors of economy, growth of well-being of the population, consolidation of good-neighbourhood communications for universal peace and well-being carried out under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the year «The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi».
