Representatives of the «Turkmendenizderyayollar» agency and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation of Sri Lanka discussed the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the field of maritime transport. The meeting took place via video link. The Turkmen side introduced the potential of the international seaport of Turkmenbashy and the services offered by the sea harbor.

In turn, representatives of Sri Lanka presented the port of Colombo, one of the largest ports in South Asia. The Port of Colombo, located on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, is the country's largest and busiest port and one of the most important ports in the Indian Ocean. It plays an important role in the Sri Lankan economy, being a key transit and cargo transshipment center. The port also serves as an important factor in the development of tourism in the country.
