"Senagatbank" suffered its first defeat in the 2024 Turkmenistan Futsal Super League, losing 2:6 to "Kopetdag" in the 10th round.
This was the second match between these opponents in the current national championship. In the first round, "Senagatbank" won 3:1.
"Kopetdag" took revenge in the second match. But the victory did not come easy for them. The first 20-minute period went in favor of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan team, 2:0. In the second half, "Senagatbank" equalized 2:2 thanks to accurate strikes by Rakhatmyrat Nepesov (21st minute) and Nepesgeldi Atayev (27th). However, subsequent defensive errors by the leader allowed the vice-champion of Turkmenistan to regain the lead and then build on their success to secure the win. For "Kopetdag", Sakhetmyrat Atdayev (6th and 39th minutes) scored a brace, Mulkaman Annagulyev (28th, 32nd, and 40th) scored a hat-trick, and Gurbangeldi Sakhedov (20th) added another goal.
In the Balkan derby between "Denizchi" and TCOR, the team of the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi emerged victorious with a 6:2 score. In the first half, the TCOR futsal players were not far behind the reigning four-time champion of Turkmenistan, who took the lead in the 13th minute after an own goal by Mekan Shamyradov. In the 19th minute, Kirill Charyev doubled "Denizchi's" advantage. However, a minute later, Tanryberdi Amangeldiyev pulled one back, and the teams went into halftime with "Denizchi" leading 2:1.
In the second half, Yakub Ovezov's players scored four more goals, credited to Abdulla Nursakhedov (22nd), Alisher Khudaybergenov (28th), Gylychmyrat Gylychmyradov (30th), and Suleyman Agoyliev (37th). TCOR responded with an accurate strike by Charyar Gurbanniyazov (39th) towards the end of the match.
"Senagatbank's" loss to "Kopetdag" and "Denizchi's" victory over TCOR slightly intensified the battle for medals in the Turkmenistan Super League. After these games, "Denizchi" reduced their deficit to the leader to 6 points, with "Senagatbank" leading with 27 points. "Kopetdag" continues the chase behind these teams, maintaining a 2-point gap from the second-placed "Denizchi" with 19 points.
"Migration" firmly holds the fourth position in the standings with 12 points, defeating "Turan" from Dashoguz 2:1. The winners' goals came from Dayanch Garajayev (6th minute) and Ismailmuhamet Ovekov (12th), while the losing side's goal was scored by Sirojiddin Jumaniyazov (34th).
The matches of the last three rounds of the second stage of round-robin tournament took place in the sports hall of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
The third stage of round-robin tournament of the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League will start in September of this year.
