At the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov opened a recruitment of participants for the hackathon Geoinformation systems and solutions”, conducted by the university among secondary students professional and higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
According to the rules of the hackathon, the intellectual competition will include teams. Each educational institution is invited to participate one team of three students.
The goal of the hackathon is to create and promote new ideas, projects in the field of remote sensing of the earth with using modern GIS technologies and geodata. In a given direction, participants will need to develop application software, web service, geoportal or mobile application. To solve the competition problem participants will be given 4 hours.
The student hackathon will take place at the S.A. Niyazov TAU from 18 to 19 November of this year. Students of secondary vocational and higher educational institutions of the country wishing to take part in competition, can register by email University tohu_hakaton@mail.ru until November 1, 2024. The main goals of the hackathon are to identify, stimulate and encouraging talented students who are capable of generating new, creative ideas for solving specific problems, improvement creative and intellectual abilities of students, formation and development of skills in the use of geoinformation systems, GIS technologies in various fields.
Based on the results of the hackathon, the Grand Prix winners will be determined, the first 2 places, 2 second places and 3 third places. The winners of the competition will be were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees from the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov.
The hackathon is intended to facilitate the implementation set tasks in the state to educate talented youth with high scientific potential, training high-level specialists, as well as the modernization of the national education system and the introduction of innovations in the field.
