UNDP and Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strengthening the public education system

In order to expand cooperation in strengthening the country's education system and promoting sustainable development practices, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Development Programme signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The implementation of the provisions of the document is intended to increase the efficiency of the system for providing public educational services, improve educational programs, focusing on supporting initiatives to combat climate change and promote a healthy lifestyle. Within the framework of the memorandum, digital technologies and innovative solutions will be introduced into the education system of Turkmenistan.

UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Saakyan noted that this document of understanding is an important step towards improving digital education and sustainable development in Turkmenistan. In cooperation with the Government of Turkmenistan, development partners and civil society organizations, UNDP makes a significant contribution to advancing the national development agenda of Turkmenistan. Using knowledge, international experience, advanced technologies and innovative solutions, UNDP works to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contributes to the creation of a peaceful, inclusive and sustainable future in Turkmenistan.
