Farmers of Dashoguz velayat continue to harvest potatoes at a high pace. More than half of the total area has already been harvested in Boldumsaz etrap, where they expect to harvest about twenty-five thousand tons of tubers this year.

A high rate of harvesting is also maintained in Akdepe etrap, which is the largest producer of this crop in the northern region of the country. To date, over sixty-two percent of the 48,160 tons of potatoes planned for the annual target have been harvested here. Leading the harvest are farmers from the "Shavat" and N. Andalyb Daykhan Farms, where extensive experience in mass potato production has been accumulated.

Potato harvesting is also proceeding at a high pace in other etraps of Dashoguz velayat, where at least 123,200 tons of valuable agricultural products are planned to be harvested this year. In addition to the abundant crop yield, this is facilitated by the high organization of the harvesting campaign and the effective use of specialized equipment. The basis of this year's harvest consists of high-yielding medium-early and early potato varieties adapted to local soil and climatic conditions, which are unpretentious in care and resistant to various diseases.
