On June 27, 2024, events were held in Kyiv to celebrate the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.    

The festive events began with a flower laying ceremony at the monument to Magtymguly Fragi, which was attended by heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, people's deputies of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, higher education institutions, comprehensive and music schools, Ukrainian companies operating in Turkmenistan, Kyiv libraries, cultural and art figures, journalists, youth and representatives of the Turkmen diaspora.

The festive events continued in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan. Ambassador T.Atayev addressed the guests and noted the importance of the events held in Turkmenistan and abroad dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the outstanding poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi.

The Ukrainian poets, prose writers and translators of Fragi's poems who spoke at the meeting emphasized that poet's works are understandable and close to readers all over the world and are not only the national pride of the Turkmen, but also the heritage of all mankind.

During the event, musical numbers were performed on national instruments, and poetry was recited.

In addition, an exhibition of books, photographs on the topic of culture and samples of national Turkmen clothing was displayed here.
