School of Young Diplomats of the Institute of International relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan announced the motto of the new IV season career-oriented project “Young Messengers of the World”, which sounds like this: “Peacekeeping diplomacy of a neutral Turkmenistan: a reliable tool for effective cooperation and sustainable development."
The choice of this motto for the upcoming season 2024-2025 academic year was not done by chance. Organizing committee decision adopted against the backdrop of a number of significant events in glorious history independent neutral Turkmenistan. This is unanimous adoption at the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session UN General Assembly Resolution “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”, initiated by Turkmenistan.
Adoption of a document co-authored by 86 UN member states, clearly demonstrates international recognition of our country's efforts to ensure global peace and sustainable development, building mutually beneficial, friendly and fraternal relations, strengthening trust between the states of the planet. Adoption resolution emphasizes the importance of continuing the ongoing work to promote a culture of peaceful dialogue in the world community.
Among the most important upcoming events for our country are 30-anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan, which will be widely noted in 2025. The situation in the world shows a decisive the role and significance of the policy of neutrality in international relations in modern conditions. About the growing international, the authority of the state is also evidenced by the unanimous election of Turkmenistan as Deputy Chairman of the 79th session UN General Assembly.
Thus, the announced motto of the fourth season of the project “Peacekeeping diplomacy of neutral Turkmenistan: a reliable tool for effective cooperation and sustainable development" and its corresponding thematic content will be promote popularization and propaganda among young people glorious history, present and future priorities of Turkmen diplomacy.
It is planned that through the games of the competition participants will be able to most deeply study and reveal the essence priority tasks, mainly to promote global doctrine, peacekeeping initiatives of our Hero-Arkadag and the President of the country aimed at unifying efforts by the international community to resolve emerging conflict situations peacefully, politically diplomatic methods, strengthening trust relations between states.
As you know, the intellectual competition “Young Messengers of the World” held among high school students of Turkmenistan schools at the IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. The competition was initiated by the School of Young Diplomats, opened at the institute in 2021 in accordance with the Resolution our Hero Arkadag. The main goal of the competition is career guidance schoolchildren, identifying talented young people with versatile knowledge, diplomatic talents and qualities. The competition is aimed at increasing students' knowledge about history, formation and development of Turkmen diplomacy.
The achievement of the goal of this competition is evidenced by the fact that today its best participants - 20 young people are studying at IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in selected specialties. Except moreover, many talented project participants are students prestigious universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, USA.
The competition is held for the fourth academic year in a row and during its implementation gained wide popularity among schoolchildren of the country and became one of the long-awaited and favorite TV programs for Turkmen viewers.
