The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited Tashkent in order to study the Uzbek experience of creating a Customs Clearance Centre, as well as to familiarize itself with the principles of operation of customs posts.
The delegation members visited the Customs Clearance Centre, established in August 2023 at the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The complex includes a Data processing, Centre, a remote electronic declaration post, a call center, targeting and risk management departments. The information system is integrated with databases of foreign departments, local ministries and departments, subjects of foreign economic activity, as well as airlines.
At the remote electronic declaration post, cargo customs declarations are promptly processed, as well as appeals received by the Customs Committee's call centre via the «11-08» hotline and through the agency's website. The Department of Targeting and Risk Management analyzes data from 50 customs information systems and 3 information systems of the World Customs Organization, as well as data from more than 30 departments and customs offices of foreign countries, assess risks, remotely monitor the activities of all customs posts.
During the visit, employees of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan visited the posts of foreign economic activity «Arkbulok» and «Chukursay tech office», as well as the border post «Yallama». They got acquainted with the organization process and the principle of operation of customs facilities.
