An educational seminar on creating a management plan for protected natural areas was held in Seydi, Lebap velayat.
The seminar was conducted as part of the project "Conservation and sustainable management of land resources and high nature value ecosystems in the Aral Sea basin for multiple benefits", implemented by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan in collaboration with the UN Development Programme.
Participants of the training course included employees of the Amudarya State Nature Reserve, the Department the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan in Lebap velayat, and the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
Participants discussed the development of basic management tools for the Amudarya State Nature Reserve and its Kelif State Nature Sanctuary.
Specially protected natural areas are plots of land, water surfaces and airspace above them, where natural complexes and objects, plant and animal world objects, and natural ecological systems are located.
