This year, in a solemn ceremony to commemorate the 300th anniversary on the birthday of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi and in his honor a new cultural and park complex of the capital. It is symbolic that this a large-scale object, in addition to a majestic monument Magtymguly, includes an alley of famous poets and thinkers of different countries and eras, which emphasizes its importance in the context of friendship of peoples and unity of cultural heritage humanity.
There are 24 monuments installed on the territory of the park complex world-famous writers and poets from around the world.
The editors of "Golden Age" considered it correct, if possible, introduce the reader, especially children and youth, to the life and work of outstanding personalities, whose monuments decorate Magtymguly Alley.
This is also important because some of the geniuses of their time presented here, visited Turkmenistan "GA", publishing information about them, in no way claims to provide complete coverage of materials about a particular personalities, especially since many of them after a long amount of time, not much information has been preserved.
Our short story today about the Hero of the Republic Kyrgyzstan, people's writer, academician, laureate of many awards, the famous writer Chingiz Torekulovich Aitmatov.
Aitmatov Chingiz Torekulovich, world famous Kyrgyz prose writer, diplomat. Nominated for the Nobel Prize many times according to literature. He is the author of works in Kyrgyz and Russian languages translated into more than 170 languages of the world.
Born on December 12, 1928 in the village of Sheker, Kyrgyzstan. His father Torekul Aitmatov, was a peasant activist, who in the future became statesman of Kyrgyzstan. During the war years
Fourteen-year-old Chingiz became secretary of the council in the village, worked teacher, financial agent, assistant combine operator and tractor driver. In 1953 a year after graduating from the Agricultural Institute, he worked as a veterinarian.
Aitmatov began his writing career in 1952. One of his first works were the story “The Newsboy Juyo”, published in the collection “Kyrgyzstan”. In 1958 he graduated higher literary courses of the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky. In the same year, his story “Jamila” was published, brought Aitmatov world fame. After "Jamili" there were published the stories “The Camel’s Eye”, “The First Teacher”, “Mother’s Field” and the collection “Tales of Mountains and Steppes”.
The story “Farewell, Gyulsary” brought Aitmatov the State bonus. In 1978, Aitmatov was awarded the title of Hero Socialist labor. Latest published work the novel "The Scaffold" became the writer's novel.
Aitmatov’s work is permeated with mythological, epic motives. Legends and parables are woven into his works. Aitmatov admitted that he drew inspiration from national legends, thanks to which the works turned out to be more realistic.
In his old age, the writer was sick a lot. He died in 2008 in the 80th year of life. Buried in the historical memorial complex "Ata-Beyit" in the suburbs of Bishkek.
Chingiz Aitmatov took part in events held in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragy.
Many theatrical productions have been based on his works; many films have been made.
Squares, parks, streets, schools are named after him, and International Prize named after Chingiz Aitmatov.
