A branch of the Innovation and Information Centre of the Ministry of Education opened in Turkmenabat

On the 9th of September, 2024, the opening ceremony of the branch of the Innovation and Information Centre of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan was held at the specialized secondary school №32 of Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat.

The event was attended by the Director of the Innovation and Information Centre Ch. Hanmuhammedov and his staff, as well as specialists from the Main Education Department of the Lebap Velayat, directors, teachers and students of comprehensive schools.

Based on the digitalisation policy of the national education system, the branch of the Innovation and Information Centre of the Ministry of Education aims to introduce innovative teaching methods in higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, comprehensive schools, as well as train specialists of educational institutions in the use of modern information technologies. In this regard, at the opening ceremony, special attention was paid to the electronic platform «E-mekdep» developed and launched by the centre, which allows parents to track the learning process of their children, establish feedback with teachers, providing round-the-clock availability of information online, in the form of SMS or digital notifications through the mobile application «E-mekdep».

The branch of the IIC plans to conduct training courses that meet international standards both to expand the professional competencies of education specialists and to improve the language and computer literacy of citizens. Students will be able to choose a convenient time for themselves in the morning, afternoon or evening classes. The range of educational services of the branch of the IIC includes courses in teaching English, Russian, Arabic, Korean, German, other humanitarian and specialized subjects.

Educational activities are planned to be supplemented by various events aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, introducing people to educational and interesting leisure. For this purpose, the centre plans to regularly hold competitions and cultural evenings.
