Today, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag, and President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, a sadaqah was held at the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland and the successful conclusion of the Halk Maslahaty meeting of Turkmenistan.

As is known, at the nationwide forum held on September 24, Hero-Arkadag addressed the participants with a proposal to hold a joint sadaqah at the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque, following the traditions of our ancestors, which was unanimously supported. 

Hero Hajji Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajji Serdar were warmly welcomed in front of the mausoleum next to the mosque.

First of all, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid flowers at the memorial in the mausoleum next to the mosque. 

Then flowers were laid by the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, military and law enforcement agencies, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country.

Afterward, the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited ayat-tovir for the repose of the departed souls, paying tribute to the memory of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov. 

During the conversation with heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in our country, Hero-Arkadag noted that a Halk Maslahaty meeting was held at a high level yesterday, which was the evidence of national democracy's triumph. Under President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's leadership, active cooperation with world states is being carried out for comprehensive development. The National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked representatives of friendly countries for their active participation in such important events. 

In turn, ambassadors expressed their wishes for today's sadaqah to be accepted by the Almighty God and conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Hero Serdar. 

Then Hero Hajji Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajji Serdar descended to the lower floor of the mausoleum. Here, the country's Mufti recited ayat-tovir for the repose of soul of the deceased first President of Turkmenistan. 

After the Mufti of Turkmenistan recited the ayat-tovir and offered prayers with good wishes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the head of state proceeded to the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque. Along the way, Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar familiarized themselves with the architectural features of the mosque, which had been renovated, and the landscaping of the surrounding area. 

The major renovation of the mosque, with a capacity of 10,000 people, was carried out with the support of Arkadagly Hajji Serdar, which is a vivid confirmation of the worthy continuation of the noble national traditions of our people in this period of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. 

Both exterior and interior designs used valuable construction and decorative materials. 

The Mufti of Turkmenistan, having recited ayats from the Holy Quran, expressed gratitude on behalf of religious figures for the favorable conditions created for performing prayers in the mosque where reconstruction was carried out. 

Then Hero Hajji Arkadag and Arkadagly Hajji Serdar participated in the sadaqah in memory of all deceased. 

Addressing those gathered, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that today sadaqah is being held at the mosque complex in Gypjak. Citing a Turkmen proverb "He who is friendly and united is blessed by God," Hero-Arkadag emphasized that yesterday a high-level meeting of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan was held, where President Arkadagly Hero Serdar detailed ongoing activities aimed at socio-economic development of an independent, permanently neutral Motherland, improving citizens' welfare, and outlined important tasks for ensuring national prosperity. 

At the same time, historically significant Decrees were signed for further comprehensive development of the sovereign Motherland. Among them is a document on holding high-level events to mark 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which instills pride in each of us and serves as a kind of starting point for successfully implementing politically important initiatives for the country's progress and people's well-being. The unanimous adoption of a Resolution declaring the upcoming year as the International Year of Peace and Trust based on an initiative put forward by the President of Turkmenistan at the United Nations General Assembly places great responsibility on us, said Hero-Arkadag. 

It was further noted that today we are offering a sadaqah, commemorating the deceased, the first President of Turkmenistan the Great Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi. 

Following the sacred traditions of our people and the wise saying, "He who honors the deceased gains nobility," we observe ancient Turkmen customs. All these are good deeds and our duty. As Hajji Arkadag emphasized, we pray to the Almighty God that the far-sighted internal and external policies implemented by Arkadagly Hero Serdar, aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life for the people, will be crowned with success. 

Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, requested the Mufti of Turkmenistan to perform the "tebärek" prayer. 

The Mufti recited verses from the Holy Quran and prayed to Almighty God for the prosperity of the sovereign state, unity of the people, and achievement of high goals. Prayers were also offered for the repose of the souls of those who gave their lives for the sovereignty and independence of the Motherland, as well as for the repose of the souls of Hero-Arkadag's parents and President of Turkmenistan's grandparents—Myalikguly aga and Ogulabat eje. 

Then, in accordance with traditions, various dishes of national cuisine were served to the participants in the sadaqah. 

At the end of the meal, the National Leader of the Turkmen people requested the Mufti of Turkmenistan to recite ayat-tovir. Prayers were also offered for the successful implementation of progressive initiatives by Hero Hajji Arkadag, now being continued under Arkadagly Hajji Serdar's leadership, to further strengthen Turkmenistan's independence and realize initiatives aimed at national prosperity and ensuring a happy life for its people. 

Then, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan addressed those gathered, noting that "today we have fulfilled the sacred duty together by honoring the deceased. May this sadaqah and prayers be accepted by Almighty God! May peace and prosperity reign in our country under Arkadagly Hero Serdar's leadership!" 

Upon completion of the sadaqah, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Arkadagly Hero Serdar warmly bid farewell to the participants and departed from the event location.
