The results of the competition of children's creative works and methodological materials on the topic «What can I do to save the ozone layer?» have been summed up. The event was held by the public organisation «Ýaş tebigatçy» and the Ozone Centre under the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan in order to disseminate environmental information and raise awareness of students of educational institutions of the country in matters of protecting the ozone layer and the Earth's climate.
Schoolchildren from Ashgabat and the velayats of Turkmenistan took part in the creative competition. More than 80 participants submitted their works to the drawing competition, announced among students of educational institutions. Among them, the best work was recognized as the 11th grade student of Secondary School № 64 of the Chardzhou etrap of the Lebap velayat Arslan Arturov, who took first place. Second place for the thematic drawing was awarded to Batyr Sultanov, a tenth-grader from Ashgabat Secondary School № 7. Third place was shared by students from the capital's Secondary School № 46 - sixth-grader Jennet Amanova and fifth-grader Merjen Amanova. The winners were awarded valuable gifts, and all schoolchildren who took an active part in the competition received memorable gifts and certificates of honour.
