Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Road Construction

The Laboratory of the Energy Production and Energy Saving Technologies of the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan has been awarded a certificate for developing a technology to produce sulfur-gravel inert material.

According to Meretmuhammet Hudayberdiyev, laboratory head, Candidate of Technical Sciences, the main goal of this development is to create an efficient method for obtaining sulfur-gravel inert material by processing sulfur waste. This process uses a mixer where the components of the composite mixture are modified.

Thus, the new technology aims not only to produce valuable material but also to address environmental issues related to waste disposal. The technology also covers the production of bituminous binders and sulfur concrete intended for road surfaces using sulfur gravel.

Furthermore, the invention includes a method for restoring concrete road surfaces using this inert material. Testing of the properties of the finished concrete confirmed its compliance with state standards.

The scientist emphasizes that waste materials such as sulfur with optimal characteristics can be successfully used in road construction in Turkmenistan's hot climate. This will enhance the durability of road surfaces against extreme temperatures and rapid wear.

It is important to note that the raw materials for producing this material are entirely local, aligning with the country's economic interests.

The certificate for this technology was issued by the State Intellectual Property Service of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
