Potential of Turkmen raw materials for the production of domestic disposable medical products

The international exhibition «Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State», which opened yesterday in Ashgabat, continues its work. The pavilions of the exhibition space present the latest achievements and projects in the medical field.

As can be seen at the exhibition, Turkmenistan is actively developing its economy and is looking for new ways to increase independence and sustainability in the production of various goods. In this context, a significant step was the cooperation of Turkmen specialists with the South Korean company Korea Meditech, aimed at setting up the production of disposable medical products from local raw materials.

The production of disposable medical products, such as polypropylene syringes, plays an important role in domestic healthcare.

The demand for these products is consistently high, due to the constant need for medical services and the increase in safety standards in the field of medicine. The use of disposable syringes significantly reduces the risk of infection and other complications, which makes them mandatory in every medical practice.

As part of the project to set up the production of disposable medical products, specialists from Turkmenistan successfully manufactured test models of 3 ml and 10 ml syringes made from local raw materials.

The tests confirmed that these raw materials are suitable for the manufacture of medical products, which is a significant achievement for the industry.

Thanks to the results obtained, the possibility of organizing serial production of syringes and other disposable medical products using local raw materials, which will make up 60-70% of the total volume of materials used, is being considered in the future. This will increase the level of self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports.
