Specialists from the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan took part in the 19th International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA), held in New Delhi from 14th to 18th of October 2024.

The event was organized by the Central Drug Conformity Authority of India, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the support of the World Health Organization. Delegates from Turkmenistan also participated in the World Health Organization's partners meeting on pharmacovigilance.

The International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities continues to be an important tool for WHO in regulating medicines and improving the safety, efficacy and quality of medicines. It has been held since 1980 to facilitate the exchange of information and develop joint approaches to address issues of common interest. The theme of this year's conference is «Smart Regulation: Ensuring Quality Assurance for Medical Devices for All».
