Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly will become a venue for two major international events – III The International Chemistry Olympiad and the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Improving the teaching of chemistry and the development of modern chemical technologies". On November 27, an international scientific and practical conference will be held in a hybrid format, which will bring together representatives of the teaching staff of higher educational institutions Turkmenistan and the countries of the world, scientists, researchers, specialists International Science and Technology Park, Institute of Chemistry the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, as well as foreign scientific institutions and organizations.
The conference will include a general plenary session and two sections on thematic areas:
I. Modern methods of teaching chemistry and ways to improve them.
II. Issues of creating new chemical technologies and prospects.
Registration of participants will last until November 15th. III International Chemistry Olympiad among University Students Turkmenistan and abroad will be held in full-time format in the period from 25 until November 30th.
The Olympiad is held in the form of individual and team competitions. The individual tour will divide the participants into two categories A and B (students specializing in chemistry and students of other fields of study) and will take place in two stages. At the first stage, students of category A will be offered tasks in inorganic and physical chemistry, at the second stage - in organic and analytical chemistry.
For category B participants, the first stage will be held in the form of testing, the second includes written assignments in chemistry. For each category, the number of participants from one university should not be exceed four students (bachelor's and specialist's degrees) and one supervisor (4+1 format).
Any participating university can offer up to three tasks as Olympiad tasks. Tasks with solutions are accepted by e-mail until November 10 olimptsu@gmail.com The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded diplomas and medals. Those wishing to participate in the Olympiad must send an e-mail by October 31 olimptsu@gmail.com an official letter from the university indicating the composition of the team, as well as a completed registration form and a personal leaflet.
