On November 2, a mass hike will take place on the Health Path in Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced this at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday.
Addressing the government members, the head of state noted that the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Resolution proposed by Turkmenistan titled "UN Games."
In this context, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov suggested organizing a sports event on November 2 to commemorate this significant resolution: everyone, following the principles of a healthy lifestyle, should walk the Health Path together.
During the event, we will also congratulate our athletes who have shown excellent results in international tournaments, thereby enhancing the country's prestige, and we will ceremoniously present them with well-deserved awards, said the head of state.
The Health Path is one of Turkmenistan's landmarks. It was opened on January 2, 2000. The path is a concrete track running along the Gindivar Mountain ridge, part of the Kopetdag mountain range.
The total length of the Health Path is 36 km, divided into two sections of 8 km and 28 km. The 8-kilometer segment is particularly popular among Ashgabat residents and guests as a traditional site for mass hikes and sports events, encouraging people of all ages to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
