Medical workers from the capital and all five provinces of the country attended an intensive training course on the organization of pediatric and neonatal emergency care.

The course was organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry in partnership with the UN Children's Fund. It was conducted by international experts Dmitriy Sankavets and Mikhail Strizhak. The theoretical part of the course was held at the International Training and Research Center, and the practical sessions were held at the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health.

As a result of the training, healthcare professionals have improved their skills in managing neonatal and pediatric emergencies. This initiative consistent with the goals of the National Strategy for 2021-2025 "Healthy Mother - healthy Child - Healthy Future", which is aimed at strengthening the capacity of the health system to provide high-quality and available help to children.

Continuous improvement of the potential of health professionals in critical aspects of care is a vital intervention to improve survival and reduce disability among newborns and children.
