A delegation from the Republic of Belarus visited Turkmenistan to exchange experience in the field of financing for sustainable development.

Accordingly, foreign experts discussed with main national partners the issues of effective public financing of sustainable development. They visited the project sites to acquainting with the potential of the healthcare system.

Mobilizing domestic public financing is decisive for financing sustainable development. Certain roles are assigned to many financial institutions, starting with banks of microfinance, postal and cooperative banks, development banks and ending with the traditional banking system.

At the same time, the creation of favorable conditions is very important. Strengthening the political, legal, regulatory and institutional environment within the countries is an effective means for Governments to encourage private investment.

International public financing, including assistance, climate-related financial activities and other types of support, will continue to play a leading role in financing sustainable development.
