At TSU named afterMakhtumkuli started the III International Chemistry Olympiad

A solemn opening ceremony was held today at the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University III International Chemistry Olympiad.

The significant international event brought together more than 200 students, as well as teachers of universities of Turkmenistan and leading universities from 13 countries of the world. More than 130 students from 21 universities represent our country at the Olympiad site. It is also attended by over 80 students from 23 universities of 12 foreign countries, such as Russia, China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, etc.

The opening ceremony of the International Olympiad in Ashgabat was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education Turkmenistan, domestic and foreign educational institutions. The rector addressed the participants with a welcoming speech Turkmen State University named afterMakhtumkuli O.Ovezsakhedov, who stressed the importance of international scientific cooperation for the development of chemical science and wished all students success, achievement of their goals and bright victories at the Olympiad. III International Chemistry Olympiad among University Students Turkmenistan and abroad will be held from November 25 to November 30.

The Olympiad includes individual and team competitions. They will feature both students specializing in chemistry and students of other fields of study. Participants will compete in solving complex theoretical problems and practical tasks in inorganic and physical chemistry, organic and analytical chemistry. The contestants will also have to cope with test questions and written assignments in various sections of chemistry.

The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded diplomas and memorable gifts. In addition, an interesting and rich cultural program awaits all participants of the event.

The International Chemistry Olympiad is aimed at stimulating and encouraging interest in science among young people, developing creative thinking among students, identifying young talents, as well as exchanging best practices and expanding ties between higher schools of Turkmenistan and abroad. We add that as part of the Olympiad, an International scientific and practical conference will also be held at the university on November 27 "Improving the teaching of chemistry and the development of modern chemical technologies." The forum will bring together representatives of the teaching staff of universities of Turkmenistan and other countries of the world, scientists, researchers, specialists of the International Science and Technology Park, the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences Turkmenistan, as well as foreign scientific institutions and organizations.
