Within the framework of the EU Culture Week in Turkmenistan, the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater hosted a concert of a jazz trio from Italy and a student ensemble of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva.

Italian musicians Antonio Flinta (piano), Roberto Bucci (double bass) and Claudio Gioannini (percussion) introduced European jazz to the Ashgabat audience. European jazz is very different from the usual noisy American jazz with the melodic ease of improvisations.

Four jazz compositions were performed from the stage, one of which was written by Antonio Flinta. The audience received the performance of the Italian trio with interest. The lightness that was inherent in their performing skills showed the great talent of the musicians.

Then the concert program continued with a collaborative  performance by Italian and Turkmen musicians. Two songs were offered to the audience: the first one was "Aýly agşam" by Aman Agadzhikov and "Duran ýerleri" by Nuri Halmamedov from the movie "Kechpelek". The participants of the concert arrange the music in a jazz.

The original sound and excellent vocal performance by Nazar Garaev and Yusup Ataev captivated the audience. The concert of Antonio Flint's trio gave great emotional pleasure to listeners and performers.
