A new season of the Technovation Girls Turkmenistan program has been launched

The development of social entrepreneurship and the support of girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) are becoming important priorities for young activists. In this context, the Technovation Girls Turkmenistan program offers significant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

On November 24, a new season of this program was started in Ashgabat. Technovation Girls is a global initiative that brings together teenage girls with different interests in creation of mobile applications that solve current social problems locally or internationally.

To mark the launch of the new season, representatives of the country team and graduates of previous years held a presentation meeting for interested parties.

At the event, they shared key aspects of the program and inspiring success stories. The participants of the meeting noted that in previous seasons, 14 teams from Turkmenistan reached the world semi-finals of the global competition, which underlines the huge potential of girls in developing IT skills and their ability to successfully compete on the international stage.

Participants work in groups of 5 people, which promotes development of team interaction and leadership skills. In the process of creating applications, they learn programming, design, market research and business model development. These skills open doors to the world of technology and prepare girls for a successful career in entrepreneurship.

The international program is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan for the 4th consecutive year. At the end of each season, the finalist teams gather at the World Summit in California, where they present their prototypes to the leaders of leading technology companies such as Google, Meta and Amazon.

The acquired experience contributes to the improvement of the skills of the participants and has a significant impact on society, highlighting the importance of the role of women in technological fields.
