Turkmenistan prepares to celebrate the International Day of Neutrality

Preparations for the upcoming Neutrality Day celebration were discussed at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, held on November 29.

The head of state was informed about the ongoing work to beautify and decorate the capital festively, with avenues and streets adorned with colorful slogans and symbols in honor of this significant date. It was reported that starting from December 5, festive trades are planned to be organized in the markets and shopping centers of velayats, cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, along with more than 850 mobile trading points across the country.

Solemn events in honor of the 29th anniversary of the country's neutrality are being conducted by cultural institutions and public organizations. One such event took place at the Center for Public Organizations of Turkmenistan under the title "Ýurdymyz Bitarap, parahat mekan, türkmen ili barýar toýlara bakan." Organized by one of the branches of the Centralized Library System of the Ashgabat City Department of Culture in collaboration with the Council of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, this festive meeting was dedicated to the role of neutrality in ensuring a peaceful and creative life for Turkmen citizens.

Speakers at the event talked about universal values, peace and friendship among peoples, which form the essence of Turkmen neutrality, and about our country's promotion of a philosophy and policy of security and constructive international cooperation. Neutrality provides the opportunity to live in a peaceful and prosperous country, as envisioned by the great Magtymguly Fragi.

Building on its positive experience, neutral Turkmenistan puts forward global and regional initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, security and friendship among peoples. The festive atmosphere of the event was enhanced by music performances by masters of art and culture.
