A new complex of buildings at the Farap highway customs post was ceremoniously opened on the eve of Turkmenistan's Neutrality Day. This facility, constructed as part of the Program for the Development of the Customs Authorities of Turkmenistan for 2022-2028, will significantly enhance the country's transport capabilities and strengthen its economic power.

The opening ceremony was attended by leaders and staff of the State Customs Service, deputies, figures of culture and art, and representatives of public organizations. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of the work being done to modernize customs points and improve working and living conditions for military personnel.

The complex includes automated systems such as digital monitoring, vehicle entry and exit control systems, and advanced equipment for safe customs control. The total area of the complex has expanded from 5.2 hectares to 10 hectares, enhancing its capacity to handle a greater volume of vehicles and goods.

The new "Farap awtoýollary" customs post features several convenient and modern facilities that contribute to efficient operations and improved service. The administrative building houses offices equipped with computers, modern furniture, necessary equipment, and a conference hall with 60 seats for meetings and conferences. To ensure security and efficient processing of vehicles through customs control, the throughput capacity has been increased: the customs post can now handle up to 1,000 vehicles per day, which is twice as many as before. Additionally, two facilities were built for processing vehicle and goods entry and exit.

The "Farap awtoýollary" customs post meets international standards and is equipped with all necessary digital capabilities for effective and prompt customs inspection and cargo clearance. The digital system significantly simplifies and accelerates customs procedures, including control of cargo vehicles and citizen entry-exit. After vehicles leave the customs post, they continue to be monitored until they reach their destination. The customs post operates around the clock, with a modern night lighting system ensuring safe conditions for inspections at any time of day, adding an additional decorative element to the environment.

During the ceremonial event, gifts were presented to the builders who contributed to creating the new complex.
