During the last week, representatives of the British “Blue Marine” organization, Judith Brown and Linas Svolkinas, visited Turkmenistan and offered Turkmen specialists a methodology for the protection of Caspian seals, salmon, sturgeon and marine waterfowl and near–water birds. Their study visit was organized within the framework of the cooperation agreement.

On the basis of the National Institute of Deserts, Flora and Fauna of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, a meeting with ecologists and biologists of the country was held, during which British scientists reported the activities of their organization, expressed ideas for studying the dynamics of water fluctuations and the related trend of decreasing winter ice in the northern part of the sea, where reproduction of The Khazar endemic  - "red book" Caspian seal occurs.

During the visit, the guests visited the Balkan Velayat, where they visited the National Tourist Zone "Avaza", the international seaport of Turkmenbashi, also estate, the nature museum and sections of the water area belonging to the Khazar State Nature Reserve.

And in Ashgabat, with their participation, meetings were held with the leadership of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, the Institute of the Caspian Sea, where opportunities for cooperation and establishing scientific cooperation were discussed. There was also an exchange of views and suggestions. As explained by the Deputy head of the Environmental Protection Department of the Environmental Department, Mahmudgurban Dosov, following the results of the meetings, partnership vectors were established and follow-up activities were planned.
