The USAID Governance Activity in Turkmenistan (GAT) hosted a roundtable to explore international best practices in investment activity and how to best modernize Turkmenistan’s Foreign Investment Law. This initiative underscores the U.S. Government’s commitment to enhancing the investment climate and promoting sustainable economic development in Turkmenistan.      

The roundtable featured presentations from national and international experts on proven investment strategies and legislative frameworks, with facilitated discussions on how these practices can be effectively tailored to Turkmenistan's needs. Participants collaborated to identify critical areas for improvement and opportunities to strengthen the country's legal investment framework in alignment with international standards. 

This event highlights the U.S. Government’s dedication to strengthening cooperation with Turkmenistan's Ministry of Finance and Economy and other relevant government agencies.
