The Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages hosted an awarding ceremony for the winners of the 2nd Internet Olympiad in Chinese language, organized by the institute for students of secondary schools in Ashgabat.
During the ceremony, representatives from the institute's administration and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the school students who won the competition.
The results of the Olympiad revealed eight winners who demonstrated a high level of proficiency in Chinese.
The Grand Prix was awarded to Svetlana Akbayeva, a 12th-grade student from Secondary School No. 55.
First place went to Mukhammetmyrat Allaberdiyev, a 12th-grade student from Secondary School No. 60.
Second place was shared by Hakmyrat Annadurdyev and Mukhammetmyrat Mammetveliyev, both 12th-grade students from Secondary School No. 55, as well as Viktoriya Chabanenko, an 11th-grade student from Secondary School No. 50.
Third place was awarded to Kseniya Rassokhina, a 10th-grade student from Secondary School No. 53, and Ailar Novruzova and Nurana Musaeva, 9th-grade students from Secondary School No. 130 with advanced foreign language studies.
The winners of the Olympiad received honorary certificates and gifts from the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan.
The Olympiad consisted of two rounds. In the first round, participants competed in writing an essay in Chinese on a given topic. The second round was conducted in the form of testing.
The competition aimed to identify talented students proficient in foreign languages, foster cooperation between higher and secondary educational institutions in the country, and further successfully implement the "Concept for Improving Foreign Language Education in Turkmenistan."
