Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhalliyev and velayat khyakims to discuss the dynamics of work in the country’s agricultural sector, as well as issues of implementing the National Rural Program.

The first to speak was the khyakim of the Akhal velayat S. Soltanmyradov, who reported on the state of affairs in the region’s agricultural lands.

As noted, appropriate measures are currently being taken to care for wheat fields.

In preparation for cotton sowing, land planning and plowing with the introduction of mineral fertilizers continues.

Along with this, in order to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds, efforts are being made to prepare cotton seeds, as well as to repair and properly maintain agricultural machinery and equipment.

In addition, measures are being taken in the region to procure seeds of fruit and vegetable crops and prepare areas for their sowing.

The khyakim also reported on the work to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in social and cultural buildings, as well as the pace of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year within the framework of the National Rural Program. 

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of seasonal agricultural activities, in particular, caring for wheat in accordance with agro-technical standards, proper preparation for spring sowing of agricultural crops, addressing a number of instructions to the head of the regional administration.

In addition, the head of state ordered to monitor the high-quality and timely solution of the tasks outlined in the National Rural Program in the region.

Then, the khyakim of the Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work. 

As noted, wheat care continues in the fields of the region these days. In order to obtain a good cotton harvest this year, plowing and land surveying, preparing agricultural machinery and units, and harvesting of seeds for cotton growers are being carried out.

Guided by the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to increase the production of vegetable and melon products, the necessary measures are being taken to procure seeds and prepare areas for sowing these crops.

It was informed on the work carried out to ensure the smooth functioning of heating systems in dwelling-houses and public buildings, as well as the pace of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in accordance with the “National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Transformation of Social and Living Conditions of the Population of Villages, Towns, Etrap Cities and Etrap Centers for the Period up to 2028”.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of strict adherence to agricultural technology standards when carrying out seasonal agricultural activities in the velayat and preparing agricultural land for sowing, addressing a number of specific instructions to the khyakim.

The President of Turkmenistan also emphasized the importance of successfully implementing programs aimed at the socio-economic development of the country, ordering that their implementation be monitored.

Then the working meeting continued with a report by the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev, who reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the region.

As noted, in preparation for sowing cotton, plowing, leveling and fertilizing the soil with phosphorus fertilizers are currently being carried out in a coordinated manner.

At the same time, the necessary steps are being taken to prepare high-quality cotton seeds, as well as agricultural machinery and units that will be used in sowing.

Along with this, the velayat is planning sowing areas allocated for potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, as well as preparing seed material for the spring season.

In addition, it was conveyed information on measures to ensure the uninterrupted operation of heating systems in residential buildings and social and cultural buildings, as well as on the state of affairs at facilities planned for commissioning this year in the velayat within the framework of the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to carry out ongoing seasonal agricultural activities at a high level and in accordance with agro-technical standards, as well as proper preparation of fields for cotton sowing, giving specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard.

The head of state also ordered to monitor the timely implementation of construction work at the facilities planned for commissioning in the velayat this year in accordance with the National Rural Program.

Then, the khyakim of the Lebap velayat M. Annanepesov made a report on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

As noted, based on the set tasks for the consistent development of the agricultural sector, agricultural work continues in the velayat. Currently, in order to obtain a rich harvest, wheat is being cared for taking into account agro-technical requirements. In the areas allocated for sowing cotton, plowing, leveling, chilling, flushing irrigation and enrichment of the soil with mineral fertilizers are carried out.

At the same time, measures are being taken to prepare seed material for cotton producers, as well as agricultural machinery and units that will be used in spring sowing and maintenance work.

Along with this, field planning for sowing spring potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops is underway, as well as seed preparation.

Information was provided on the progress of construction of facilities scheduled for commissioning this year within the framework of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, on measures taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, departments and enterprises, in buildings for social and cultural purposes. 

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to conduct seasonal agricultural campaigns at a high organizational level, addressing the relevant instructions to the khyakim in this regard.

In addition, the head of state ordered to monitor the implementation of relevant work in the velayat in accordance with the National Rural Program.

Further, the khyakim of the Mary velayat B. Orazov reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As reported, at present, in order to obtain a rich wheat harvest, appropriate measures are being taken in accordance with agro-technical standards, and maintenance work is being carried out.

In the wheat fields of the velayat, irrigation and fertilization of the soil with minerals are carried out, as well as plowing and leveling of the land.

Along with this, work is underway to provide cotton producers with high-quality seeds, efforts are being made to prepare and effectively operate equipment and units used during the sowing period. 

Guided by the tasks set by the President of the country to provide the population with food products in abundance, the velayat is preparing land for sowing potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops, as well as seed material for spring sowing.

Steps are being taken to harvest sugar beets without losses and further process them.

In addition, it was reported on the measures taken to ensure the smooth functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, as well as on the progress of current work to implement the tasks envisaged by the National Rural Program.

After hearing the report, the head of state focused on the importance of the tasks currently facing the agricultural sector, in this regard, instructing the khyakim to maintain constant control and ensure the quality and compliance with agro-technical standards during seasonal agricultural activities. 

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to ensure proper implementation of the tasks planned for this year in the velayat within the framework of the National Rural Program.

Then Deputy Prime Minister T. Atakhalliyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country.

As reported, at present, in accordance with agricultural technology standards, care is being carried out in the wheat fields of the regions, in particular, fertilizing with minerals, with special attention being paid to the efficient operation of agricultural machinery.

In preparation for sowing cotton, plowing, leveling and fertilizing the land with minerals continue. Measures are being taken to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds for sowing.

Along with this, efforts are being made to prepare agricultural machinery for the season and maintain it in proper condition.

Also, in the velayats, preparation of seeds and areas for sowing potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops for the spring sowing is underway.

Summarizing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector in the national economy and in this regard instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to monitor the implementation of agricultural activities in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

Then, addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state once again drew attention to the importance of the ongoing seasonal agricultural work, and, emphasizing that it is necessary to ensure compliance with agro-technical requirements when caring for wheat, ordered to monitor the work on fertilizing the land with phosphorus fertilizers, plowing and leveling the areas planned for sowing cotton this year.

Emphasizing the importance of cotton sowing, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to provide cotton producers with high-quality seeds before sowing, and prepare equipment and units for spring sowing.

The President of Turkmenistan also emphasized that in the Mary velayat, the grown sugar beet crop should be harvested without losses and starting today, the preparation of fields and seed material for the spring sowing of potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops should begin.

In addition, the head of state ordered to strictly monitor the implementation of the National Rural Program, the operation of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, the supply of electricity, natural gas and drinking water to the population, and to take appropriate measures for the timely and successful implementation of the activities planned in the velayats this year in accordance with the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.
