The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Turkmenistan has announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the courses of the Korean Culture Academy of Korean Studies for 2025. The program has been running since 1993. Over the years, 1,014 students from 70 countries have participated in it.
The program is designed for international undergraduate students. The program includes thematic lectures related to Korean culture, Korean language courses, and classes introducing Korean traditions. The lectures are conducted in Korean. Therefore, participants should have a basic knowledge of Korean. Interested persons should apply on the website of the Academy of Korean Studies.
Applications are accepted from January 27. The selected participants will receive an email on March 28, 2025.
The Academy of Korean Studies will cover all expenses related to accommodation, meals, and visits to cultural sites. Participants will be required to cover round-trip airfare, transportation costs (including travel between Incheon International Airport and the Academy of Korean Studies), and medical insurance
Required documents: An application, a certificate from the university, a report card issued by the university, a table of assessments of the level of proficiency in the Korean language, which is included in the application form (download and fill out paragraph 7 of the application form), a certificate of knowledge of the Korean language (if available).
Documents must be completed in Korean or English, otherwise a translation in Korean or English must be submitted along with the original document.
