The Central Asian Border Management Assistance Program held the 4th meeting of the regional leading group in Ashgabat. The meeting brought together representatives of the consortium, who reviewed the achieved results and agreed on project implementation plans.

The European Union Ambassador to Turkmenistan Beata Pexa underlined the significance of the role of the regional leading group and noted the need to use a huge amount of work that has been done in recent years.

The project coordinator BOMCA 10 Guntis Puyats emphasized that over four years of implementation, BOMCA 10 demonstrated positive and tangible results in the border regions of Central Asia, including strengthening the institutional base of the development of trade corridors and improving the management of borders in the region.

The Regional Group plays a key role by providing a platform for self-assessment, strategic planning, and the development of an open dialogue between the Central Asian countries and the Program.

Currently, BOMCA 10 has successfully implemented almost 90% of the planned activities in five countries. As we approach the end of the current phase of the program, efforts will continue to complete the remaining activities.
