The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, in partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund, has launched a national program for the integrated management of childhood diseases.
The program launch ceremony was attended by healthcare professionals and technical experts involved in the implementation of the program. Integrated Management of Childhood Diseases is a global program designed to end child mortality and promote the health and development of children by improving the skills of health professionals, strengthening the health system and increasing the participation of parents and communities in child care.
The program was initiated in 1995 by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund. Its implementation at the national level will ensure timely, effective and standardized treatment of the most common diseases in children, regardless of their place of residence.
The Strategy also makes a significant contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goal No. 3, aimed at ensuring every child has a healthy future and development.
The Integrated Management of Childhood Diseases Program supports the implementation of the National Strategy "Healthy Mother – Healthy Child – Healthy Future" (2021-2025) and confirms the country's commitment to providing every child with high-quality and accessible medical care.
