This year, cotton growers from the Lebap velayat plans to sow cotton on an area of 130 thousand hectares. Today, as part of preparations for sowing cotton in all etraps of the velayat, special attention is paid to the preparation of seed material.

There are 11 cotton gins in the region that prepare seeds for the sowing campaign. This season, it is planned to prepare a total of 11,393.5 tons of seeds and sow 97,050 hectares with regular and another 32,995 hectares with cleaned cotton seeds.

It is worth noting the high organizational level of work carried out, for example, at the cotton gin plant in the Sayat etrap, which was put into operation in 2015 and is equipped with modern technologies that allow processing up to 40 thousand tons of cotton per year and producing high-quality cotton seeds.

In the current agricultural season, in accordance with the soil and climatic conditions in the etraps of the velayat is expected to sow cotton of the S-2606 variety on 66,562 hectares of land, Yoloten-39 and Yoloten-7 on 41,812 hectares and 19,924 hectares respectively, Garashsyzlyk-30 and Yoloten-53 on 948 and 754 hectares of land.

Intensive preparatory work for cotton sowing in the region indicates that the season will be held at a high organizational and quality level.
