Today, a ceremony was held here to award the Certificate of Excellence of Hangzhou Dianzi University of the People's Republic of China to the «smart» city of Arkadag as an outstanding green, environmentally friendly city. This became another sign of international recognition of the architectural solution and favorable environmental level of the new city, founded on the initiative of Hero Arkadag.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the governing bodies of the new city, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to Turkmenistan, honourable elders and youth.
The awarding of international certificates and corresponding diplomas to the city of Arkadag, which is distinguished by a high degree of comfort and a unique combination of national architectural traditions and advanced world practices, is a confirmation that the principles of urban development in the country have received new development and reached a qualitatively new level.
The participants of the event got acquainted with the exhibition in the foyer of the main building of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev in the city of Arkadag. The exhibition presented various information and photographs dedicated to the architectural features of the city, the results of the introduction of a digital system and innovative technologies into its infrastructure.
Among the special exhibits of the exhibition were international certificates awarded to the city of Arkadag and the books of the Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar. A separate pavilion was decorated by the Chinese side.
Those speaking at the ceremony at the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev noted the success in achieving the great goals of the urban development program initiated by Hero Arkadag under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. As was emphasised, the city of Arkadag has become a unique example of national architecture.
Then the floor was given to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng. He expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the high level of organization of this important event. The Chinese city of Hangzhou is considered one of the leaders in the development of innovative industry and is actively mastering the capabilities of the digital system and artificial intelligence. Dianzi University of this city, which effectively cooperates in the field of modern technologies with different countries, is engaged in assessing the technological level of cities under construction around the world.
During his speech, the diplomat warmly recalled the visit of Hero Arkadag to Hangzhou in 2014 and emphasized that the negotiations held during this visit aroused great interest among the city's residents.
The architectural features of the first stage of development of the city of Arkadag, its multifunctional facilities have received high praise from the world community. This demonstrates the power and level of development of our country, which is making a confident step towards the heights of progress.
The Ambassador of the PRC emphasised that it is a great honour for him to present the Certificate of Excellence of Hangzhou Dianzi University to the «smart» city of Arkadag as an outstanding green, environmentally friendly city, and handed it over to the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D. Orazov. He also congratulated the leadership of the city of Arkadag and all its residents on this significant event.
In subsequent speeches, it was emphasised that the work based on and implemented through innovative methods in the city of Arkadag yield positive results. The achievements of the «smart» city, like other regions of the country, are the result of the application of innovative solutions aimed at comprehensive development and improving the quality of life of the population.
During the event, it was reported that the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a Resolution on Amendments to the administrative territory of the city of Arkadag. As noted, the decision to transfer 65 hectares from the lands of the city of Ashgabat to the administrative territory of the city of Arkadag in accordance with the scheme of the appendix to the said resolution is of historical significance. The conference participants expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Hero-Arkadag on behalf of all residents of the new city.
Videos were also shown on the advanced technologies being implemented in the city of Arkadag and the process of its digitalisation. The results of the application of digital technologies in the work of road and transport, social and cultural facilities of the city were presented.
