Currently, under the wise leadership of the highly Esteemed President and thanks to the unprecedented efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag, a lot of work is being done to hold the International Year of Peace and Trust at the highest level, which is the year of celebrating the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, promoting throughout the world the peace-loving, humane state policy of our Independent, permanently Neutral country, increasing the international authority of our state.

As part of the activities of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan in accordance with the name of 2025 as the «International Year of Peace and Trust» and the holding of high-level events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, as well as the Concept of priority areas of Turkmenistan's activities during the International Year of Peace and Trust, on March 17, 2025, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan held a conference on the «The role of women in strengthening global peace and security».

The conference was attended by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO, Hero of Turkmenistan Chinar Rustemova, Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan Narine Saakyan, Head of the United Nations Children's Fund Representative Office in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna, Chairperson of the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, as well as women working in various sectors of our state.

The speeches at the conference was emphasized the importance of the activities carried out to develop and strengthen cooperation with countries of the world, authoritative international organizations, guided by the permanent Neutrality of our country, twice recognized by the United Nations, international initiatives to strengthen peace and trust, put forward by our state, and Resolutions adopted in this area.

The conference participants spoke about the opportunities created in our country thanks to the efforts of the Hero Arkadag and the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the protection of motherhood and childhood within the framework of multilateral structures, as well as the humane policy pursued by our state, and discussed issues of increasing the effectiveness of cooperation in this area, implemented with UNESCO, UNICEF, which are structural units of the UN, in the International Year of Peace and Trust. The recognition at the international level of the exemplary activities carried out by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship in solving humanitarian issues was noted.

In this direction, the signing of the work plan of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan for 2025 for the implementation of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Program for Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 is significant.

Participants of the conference «The role of women in strengthening global peace and security» noted the importance of the conference in promoting, explaining through parliamentary diplomacy the peaceful and humane foreign policy of Turkmenistan, the successes achieved in strengthening international cooperation, and the initiatives put forward by our state to ensure peace, trust and sustainable development in the region and throughout the world.

The conference participants wished the Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag further success in implementing the foreign policy of our country, based on the principles of goodwill, peacefulness, as well as good health, long life, success in activities in the name of the interests of the people and the country, in great deeds of universal significance.
