At the end of March this year, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan under the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan hosted a training seminar on "Studying the Features of Implementing Innovative Energy Efficiency Technologies in the Production Sectors of the Economy Considering Turkmenistan's Climatic Conditions".
The seminar was organized by representatives of the State Energy Institute in collaboration with specialists from the European Union "Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia" (SECCA) project and the UNDP "Sustainable Cities in Turkmenistan: Integrated Development of Green Cities in Ashgabat and Avaza" program.
The event was attended by specialists from the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, faculty members and students of the State Energy Institute, specialists from the Scientific and Production Center "Renewable Energy Sources" at the Institute, key experts from the SECCA project, and specialists and international consultants from the UNDP project.
Participants familiarized themselves with the activities of the EU SECCA project and the UNDP "Sustainable Cities" project in the areas of sustainable energy development, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, waste management, and the application of the "zero waste" method. Additionally, the possibility of cooperation between the State Energy Institute, the EU SECCA project, and the UNDP project in the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency was discussed.
International consultants provided participants with a wide range of information on implementing innovative energy efficiency technologies in residential and industrial buildings.
