«Arkadag» scored seven unanswered goals against Mary's «Merv», achieving the biggest victory in the 2025 Turkmenistan Championship among top league clubs.

The game took place in the «smart» city of Arkadag as part of the 5th round.

At first, nothing foreshadowed a rout. The teams went into the break with the score 2:0 in favour of the hosts, who scored Guychmyrat Annagulyyev (9th minute - from a penalty) and Altymyrat Annadurdyyev (23rd). In the middle of the second half, «Arkadag» scored the third goal - Begench Akmammedov scored it in the 62nd minute. And only at the end of the game, Vladimir Bayramov's charges broke through: during the last 7 minutes of regular time, they scored four more goals against the opponent. Yhlas Saparmammedov scored a double in the 83rd and 85th minutes.  The top scorers of the last two seasons, Didar Durdyyev (87th) and Shanazar Tirkishov (90th), also scored a goal each.

Having won its second victory in a row, «Arkadag» moved up to fourth place in the standings with 6 points, lagging behind Balkanabat's «Nebitchi», «Ashgabat» and «Shagadam» from the city of Turkmenbashy by 1 point. 

«Nebitchi» moved up so high due to a technical victory – 3:0, which was awarded to it in the previous round in a home match with «Merv» for the unauthorized departure from the field in the second half of the visiting team. And «Ashgabat» broke into the top three, having won a strong-willed victory in the 5th round over «Nebitchi» – 2:1. 

During the game, which took place in the Babarap gengeshlik of the Gokdepe etrap of the Ahal velayat, «Ashgabat» was losing – 0:1 after a goal in the 12th minute by Myratdurdy Bayramov.  The nominal home team equalised in the 44th minute thanks to the efforts of Bashim Gurbandurdyyev. And they snatched victory in the 68th minute after an accurate strike by Shatlyk Gurbanov.

After these matches, the lead in the race of scorers with 3 goals is shared by Abdyresul Abdyyev from «Merv» and Yhlas Saparmammedov from «Arkadag». The teammates of Yhlas Begench Akmammedov and Didar Durdyyev, as well as Gurban Annayev («Ahal») and Bashim Gurbandurdyyev («Ashgabat») scored 2 goals each.

The 5th round of the 2025 Turkmenistan Football Championship will end with the matches «Altyn Asyr» - «Kopetdag» and «Shagadam» - «Ahal».
