The International University for the Humanities and Development invites students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan to a public speaking competition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and 2025 - the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The competition is held in English in order to increase the interest of Turkmen youth in learning foreign languages, improve their language abilities and speech skills, develop creative and artistic thinking of students and their ability to freely express their thoughts in a foreign language.
The competition will take place on the 29th of April at 14:00. One student from each university is invited to participate. The task of the participants is to give a public speech in English for no more than 3 minutes. The topics of the speeches of participants will be determined by drawing lots. The speeches will be assessed by a jury according to three main criteria: the content of the presentation, skill and speech culture.
The winners of the competition will be determined by the highest number of points scored and will be awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees.

The competition, aimed at the intellectual, creative and aesthetic development of students by developing public speaking skills in young people, will help stimulate interest of students in the art of speech, increase their motivation to study foreign languages, and identify the most talented and capable young speakers.
