As part of a working visit to Romania, the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in a scientific conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality, organized by the Institute of Turkology of Babesh-Boyai University, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania together with the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The conference also featured a presentation of a collection of poetry, "Magtymguly Pyragynyi diwany", translated into Romanian.
The 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the role of Makhtumkuli Fragi in national and world literature, the study of his creative heritage, works, as well as translations of the poet's works conducted in recent years by Turkmen and Romanian scientists were the main topics of the scientific conference.
The speeches of the participants emphasized that the historical and cultural heritage of the two countries is of great interest to the scientific world, scientists and travelers. At the same time, it was noted that the initiatives of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero Arkadag, aimed at further developing humanitarian cooperation, strengthening peace and friendship, make it possible to significantly expand the Turkmen-Romanian friendship.
Professor Margarita Aslan from Babesh Boyai University, in her speech at the conference expressed her gratitude to the Esteemed President and Hero Arkadag, noting that it was a great honor for her to receive the medal "300th anniversary of Makhtumkuli Fragi" and that she would continue to work on studying the works of Makhtumkuli and the lyrics of Turkmenistan.
As a part of the presentation, an exhibition of works of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan was organized, including his books dedicated to historical and cultural monuments such as Jeytun, Altyndepe, Gonurdepe, Parthia-Nusai, Khorezm-Kunyargench, Dehistan, the life and literary heritage of the great classic of the East, also collections of poems of Makhtumkuli in foreign languages.
