In 2025, which declared the Year of International Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of our independent state will be celebrated in a very solemn atmosphere, thanks to the wise foreign policy initiatives of our National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag and our respected President Arkadagly Hero Serdar. The coincidence of this important political event with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations will further raise the level of the expected celebrations and open up broad opportunities for more confident dissemination of the peace-loving strategic principles of Turkmenistan in the international arena.
Turkmenistan is the only democratic state in the world whose legal status of permanent neutrality has been unanimously recognised three times in accordance with the resolutions of the UN General Assembly.
This is the highest and most worthy assessment given by the world community to the enormous and large-scale work that Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan has done and effectively implemented over the past 30 years to ensure universal peace and sustainable development throughout the world, its highly humane policy, its great initiatives to promote the traditions of mutual trust under the wise leadership of our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
The doctrine of neutrality is the core and foundation of our country's foreign policy strategy. This doctrine is based on such sacred values as peace, goodwill, friendship and brotherhood, which illuminate the proud and glorious paths of our ancestors, enrich the centuries-old history of our country and are laid at the very core of our national heritage, born of the sharp mind and talent of the Turkmen people.
Over the past 30 years, the policy of neutrality of our country has served as an important principle for establishing a peaceful life not only in our country, but also in the countries of the region and around the world. Today, thanks to the policy of neutrality, Turkmenistan is widely known and respected as a state whose homeland is recognised as a place of peace, mutual trust and humanism. That is why the position of Turkmenistan as a neutral state in the United Nations is so important.
Turkmenistan pays special attention to the development of regional and international relations in order to strengthen peace and security, achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The cornerstone of this international political strategy is the effective Dialogue that our Hero Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar carry out together with the world community in the interests of universal peace, prosperity and development.
In the glorious days of the International Year of Peace and Trust, which ended with large-scale events, exactly 21st to 24th of April, the friendly visits of our National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag to the neighbouring Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, which took place at the highest level, became an important historical event aimed at further enriching the bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation, which has been carried out since ancient times between our independent, unchanging Motherland and the countries of the region, based on mutual respect, trust and a peaceful spirit, in accordance with the necessary conditions and requirements of modern relations.
Important negotiations held by our National Leader with the Presidents of the Republics of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan during his visits, as well as joint visits to national cultural complexes, museums, reserves, mausoleums of famous historical figures, tourist information centres, equestrian centres and economic parks of these states, once again demonstrated that humanitarian principles are an important component of interregional relations.
During the visits, the presentation of the national white house of Kyrgyzstan and a horse named Han to our Hero Arkadag, as well as the ceremonial presentation of the Uzbek Order of the Highest Degree of Friendship became a high tribute to the great personal contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to strengthening good-neighbourly cooperation. This is the most worthy recognition of the long-term efforts of our Hero Arkadag to strengthen mutually beneficial humanitarian cooperation and its boundless merits.
Humanity is one of the most important conditions that ensure the reliability of the principles of peace and trust. This sacred principle of our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Hero Serdar is one of the priorities of the state policy that we are developing and successfully implementing in practice in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, in terms of preserving and restoring the health of our happy generations, mothers.
A striking example of this is the extensive experience accumulated by the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which was created four years ago and is currently doing a lot of work in this direction. Our Hero Arkadag and our Respected President Arkadagly Hero Serdar make a huge contribution to supporting the activities of the foundation, which is aimed at protecting the health of not only children of Turkmenistan, but also children from all over the world, and as a result, a lot of work is being done to develop charity in our country. As our National Leader noted, protecting the health of mothers and children is one of the main tasks of this foundation, which is guided by the principle: «Without a healthy mother, there will be no healthy child».
Currently, large-scale projects on protecting the health of mothers and children are being implemented in our country, work is being intensified to promote the accumulated best practices at the international level, and to reliably develop interregional cooperation in this area. A striking example of this is the conference «Year of Peace and Trust: Developing International Work in the Interests of Children», organised in Arkadag on the 29th of March of this year on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the creation of this foundation under the leadership of Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The conference was attended by high-ranking guests from the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Iran, Pakistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, as well as heads of international organisations and foreign companies accredited in our country. In their speeches, they emphasised that this important international forum, held in Arkadag, the first «smart city» of the region, on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the creation of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, is a deeply significant event confirming the strong commitment of independent Turkmenistan to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
In a meaningful speech, the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship noted that the creation of the foundation was a logical and thoughtful step, and the past 4 years have shown the correctness of this idea, its relevance and importance. At the same time, Oguljahan Atabayeva asked the question: «What have we done for people, how have we helped them, who needs help and support? I believe that these questions should always be before the state and society. Their answer should determine the nature of all humanitarian work», she said, addressing the participants of the international forum, once again stating that such universal values and teachings as peace, justice and humanism, based on centuries-old philosophy, rich spiritual culture and traditions of the Turkmen people, have become priorities in the work of this foundation.
Numerous meetings and negotiations held by the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Oguljahan Atabayeva with high-ranking guests who participated in the international conference and heads of Ashgabat offices of major international organisations, as well as working trips to the Principality of Monaco and Uzbekistan, and, finally, a historically significant interview of the Vice President for Medical Activities of the Foundation to the world-famous «Al-Arabiya» TV channel about the enormous and large-scale work that is carried out to protect the health of mothers and children within the framework of the humanitarian policy of our National Leader and our Respected President, are important events that have demonstrated to the whole world that our sacred heritage of humanity, which has been improved and enriched by our ancestors for centuries and passed down from generation to generation, is in safe and reliable hands.
Based on the instructions of our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, it is necessary to intensify work on the broad outreach of the noble activities of this foundation, based on humanistic principles, both in our country and in the regional and international space, through television programs and the media.
